Arguably one of the best riders ever. Came onto the bmx scene, did some amazing shit, banged his (apparently wife bashing) best friends wife and got exiled from bmx. It really sucked, I couldn't give a damn about what he did in his personal life and who he upset, I just want to see new footage from him. Such a shame. IAN SCHWARTZ COME TO AUSTRALIA, NO ONE WILL HATE YOU HERE!

'Sarah' From the "If I die..." series 2010

Strangetimezzz exists as a portal into my mind and as a sort of visual diary that represents the development of my artistic practice. I have always hesitated about making a blog and sharing my work online as I never felt my work was developed enough or ready to exist in this sort of uber public domain. Although still I think it is far from being worthy in any sense now, I think my two and bit years of schooling is enough to deem my work and ideas substantial enough to be worthy of space on the internet.

In a sense this blog and through extension, my artwork, serves as a response to the incredibly strange time that we live in (hence the name 'Strangetimezzz'. Although I haven't been alive for long enough to make a fair judgement, it seems that even in the time I have been alive, the world is changing rapidly. This is happening both technologically and environmentally. The instability of the climate and the fact that Australia keeps flooding is quite troubling, as just rebuilding every time is entirely unsustainable. Changes in the world call for a change in mindset of its occupants, so seeing society respond to these challenges will be interesting.

The blog will also feature snippets from my other interests outside of art. They all play a part in shaping my practice though.

I will try and post things reasonably regularly, but of course that depends on the rate that I make artwork and refine my practice.
